These Are the Signs of Allah
Finally, as in the first juzʾ, this is a fitting place to close. The last verse chosen to end this juzʾ upon — not by Allah (swt) directly, though it is a choice of Allah in this sense, that whoever divided the thirty juzʾ did so with tawfīq from Allah — reads:
تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ وَإِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
“These are the verses of Allah that We recite to you (O Prophet), with all veracity, and certainly you are among the Messengers.” (2:252)
These are the signs of Allah which We relate to you, which We recite to you in truth. Much of this — this very account among it — was not known to the Jewish community of that time, or to the greater part of it. Wa-innaka la-mina al-mursalīn: and you are indeed among those sent. You are truly sent by Allah (swt) — again reinforcing the message of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
