Memorised by Children

The Qur'an is probably the only book of this size — the only scripture of this size; the volume in hand is eight hundred and some pages — which is memorised by children as young as four and five. There are children known at first hand to have memorised it at the age of six and seven; known at first hand. That is in itself a miracle. These children sometimes do not even know their own language properly, and cannot read their mother tongue, or English, or whatever it may be; and yet they know this by heart. They may not know a word of its meaning, and yet Allah makes it easy for them. Let them try to memorise something else and it is often not so easy. This simply flows; such is the way Allah has made it so conducive to memorisation, and that the world over.

Then there are the many other places for it: doing it in Tarāwīḥ, repeating it in Ramadan, reviewing it in Ramadan, and so many other things by which we keep it. That in itself is another miracle of the Qur'an: a preservation in which not a word has changed.
