Frogs

So Allah (swt) sent another sign upon them: frogs. One of them would put his clothes on, and frogs would jump onto his body. He would open his mouth to eat, and a frog would hop into his mouth. He is eating his food, and a frog would land right on it. He goes to bed, and he is crushing frogs beneath him. Frogs wherever they went. It says in the tafsīr that a group of them would be eating, and frogs would jump into their food; they would open their mouths, and their mouths would be filled with frogs.

They went to Mūsā: release us from this punishment — this ʿadhāb, this rijz. Allah (swt) released them from it — fa-idhā hum yankuthūn — and they broke the promise another time.
