A Small Band Who Enrage Us

So this nation left at night-time. The news was conveyed to Firʿawn; his spies obviously knew about it, so they told Firʿawn about it. So Allah (swt) says:

Then Firʿawn sent callers to all the cities: verily, these indeed are but a small band, and verily they have done what has enraged us, and we are all assembled and on our guard. Let us look at these ayat. Firʿawn is now mobilising his army to pursue Banū Isrāʾīl. Banū Isrāʾīl have left; Firʿawn is gathering and collecting his soldiers. And look at what Firʿawn says: inna hāʾulāʾi la-shirdhimatun qalīlūn — these are a small group. That is number one. He said: wa innahum lanā la-ghāʾiẓūn — and they are enraging us. Wa innā la-jamīʿun ḥādhirūn — but we are all going to be cautious. Even though Firʿawn is saying they are a small group, he is saying that we are going to prepare for this a great deal, and we are going to gather all of our army for the purpose.

I found that a little similar to the situation in the world today. They always say that the Islamic fundamentalists are few; it is not a lot of people. Nevertheless, they are holding high-profile meetings all over the world to counter their effect. And you find that the biggest leaders of the world will come together to discuss the children who are throwing rocks in Palestine. Kids who are throwing stones in Palestine — and you find the presidents and the kings of the world coming together and discussing how they can deal with this problem. Shirdhimah — they say they are a small group: kids, children. Very similar to what Firʿawn did. Even though it is a small group, Allah (swt) puts fear of the believers into the hearts of the enemy, even if it is a small group.
