Expelled From Gardens and Springs
فَأَخْرَجْنَـٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
“Thus We expelled them (i.e. the people of Pharaoh) from gardens and springs, and from treasures and a noble abode. Thus it was. And We made the children of Isrā’īl inherit all such things.” (26:57–59)
Firʿawn was gathering all of his army. Notice: Firʿawn was gathering not half of it, not 75 per cent — he was gathering all of his army. But Allah (swt) says: so We expelled them from gardens and springs. Allah was expelling them. Firʿawn was gathering all of his army to pursue Mūsā, and Allah (swt) wanted Firʿawn to gather all of his army so that they could all be expelled — from treasures, and every kind of honourable place. Thus We caused the children of Israel to inherit them.
