Like Nūḥ and Mūsā, Like Ibrāhīm and ʿĪsā

That is why Mūsā and Nūḥ were the two anbiyāʾ whom the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) described as strong and harsh with the disbelievers. And who were the two who were mild? ʿĪsā and Ibrāhīm. That is why, in one hadith, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) says: you, Abū Bakr, are similar to ʿĪsā and Ibrāhīm; and you, ʿUmar, are similar to Mūsā and Nūḥ. Because Nūḥ also made the duʿāʾ: O Allah, destroy the disbelievers. Whereas we know that ʿĪsā and Ibrāhīm were always giving another chance.
