I Am Oft-Forgiving

Verse 82 is of immense weight, and again it gives immense hope:

I am Ghaffār — not merely Ghafūr, not merely Ghāfir. Allah uses all of these forms: one of them denotes the one who forgives; another the one who forgives frequently; another the one who forgives abundantly, the one who forgives enormous sins. Ghaffār is an intensified form of Ghāfir. I shall be oft-forgiving of those who seek repentance, and who believe, and who do good deeds — thumma ihtadā, and then are guided.
