No Beast on the Earth

First, at verse 6, which is the beginning of the twelfth juzʾ: there is no dābbah, no beast upon the earth, but that Allah (swt) has taken upon Himself its upkeep, its provision, its sustenance. There is no organisation in the animal world — no welfare system, so that an animal in distress might go and apply and receive some welfare or a benefit cheque. It is a matter of the survival of the fittest, in some places. But Allah (swt) has made the whole animal chain, the food chain, such that they either rely upon one another — the larger upon the smaller — or upon the vegetation. And there is abundance; generally there is abundance, unless Allah (swt) wills that they perish, as with human beings; and then they perish. Such is the system of Allah (swt) even in this.

So Allah says very plainly: everything is reliant upon Me for its sustenance and its provision. Allah has charge of everything. And He knows exactly what its temporary abode is and what its permanent abode is. All of it is recorded already in a clear book. All of it is recorded.
