Hūd, and the She-Camel of Thamūd

That story closes, and then comes the story of Hūd (peace be upon him); and there too there are lessons, and how they were destroyed, and how his people are nowhere mentioned in any favourable sense.

Then Allah (swt) speaks of Thamūd and of Ṣāliḥ (peace be upon him); and there the matter is the she-camel — the she-camel that was to have been allowed to roam, which Allah (swt) had sent, and which had come out of a mountain. Allah (swt) had sent her; but they made a difficulty of her and killed her. And then the punishment came upon them, and everyone was destroyed except Ṣāliḥ (peace be upon him) and those with him.
