In His Grave and in the Sixth Heaven

Another of the faḍāʾil of Mūsā (peace be upon him): the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) mentioned one virtue of Mūsā in al-Isrāʾ, and one in al-Miʿrāj. Al-Isrāʾ is the journey from Makkah to Jerusalem; al-Miʿrāj is from Jerusalem, to meet with Allah (swt). When the Messenger of Allah was going on al-Isrāʾ, from Makkah to Jerusalem, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: I passed by the grave of Mūsā, and I saw him praying in his grave.

And then, when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went on al-Miʿrāj, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: I met Mūsā in al-samāʾ al-sādisah, the sixth heaven. Nobody was higher than Mūsā except Ibrāhīm (peace be upon him), in the seventh heaven. Mūsā was the highest, in the sixth heaven. That is one of the faḍāʾil of Mūsā (peace be upon him).
