We Have Turned It About in Every Way
After that there are a few other discussions upon the rejection of the Hereafter and of the resurrection, and Allah (swt) speaks of that again. But the chief matter in it, which Allah mentions several times, is this:
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِى هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ وَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًا
“Surely, We have explained things in various ways in this Qur’ān, so that they may pay heed to the advice; but it increases nothing in them except aversion.” (17:41)
Wa laqad ṣarrafnā fī hādhā al-Qurʾān: We have given you so many examples and treated so many subjects in the Qur'an, li-yadhdhakkarū, that they may take heed and may learn from it. But unfortunately, if their eyes are closed and their hearts are closed, wa mā yazīduhum illā nufūrā: it only increases their aversion to it.
Then there are numerous other discussions upon the Qur'an and how they react to it. Another important verse is this:
وَقُل لِّعِبَادِى يَقُولُوا۟ ٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ يَنزَغُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ كَانَ لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ عَدُوًّا مُّبِينًا
“Tell My servants that they should speak that which is best. Surely, Satan creates discord among them. Indeed, Satan is an open enemy to mankind.” (17:53)
Wa qul li-ʿibādī yaqūlū allatī hiya aḥsan: tell My servants that they should say what is excellent and good, and not say bad things.
