Najrān

And then there was a delegation that came from Najrān, and this is a long story; one can refer to it in the tafsīr of Ibn Kathīr on Sūrat Āl ʿImrān, because there was a long dialogue and debate about the difference between Christianity and Islam and the nature of ʿĪsā (peace be upon him), and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) received the revelation of about eighty āyāt of Sūrat Āl ʿImrān speaking about this — because the people of Najrān were Christians.
