10. Abandoning the Quran in Five Ways

In Surah Al-Furqan, Allah (swt) reveals a profound complaint that will be made by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on the Day of Judgment:

This statement carries immense weight, highlighting how the Quran—the greatest gift to humanity—can be neglected and abandoned. The term "mahjuran" (abandoned) encompasses multiple dimensions of neglect that extend beyond merely ignoring the Quran. Based on the transcript's analysis, there are five primary ways in which people abandon the Quran, each requiring serious reflection for anyone seeking to deepen their relationship with Allah's revelation.

The first and most extreme form of abandonment comes from those who neither listen to the Quran nor believe in it. This represents complete rejection, where individuals deny the divine origin of the Quran and refuse to engage with its message in any capacity. This was the case with many of the disbelievers during the Prophet's time, and continues with those who reject Islam entirely.

The second category includes those who believe in the Quran and may even read it, but fail to implement its teachings in their lives. They acknowledge the Quran as Allah's word but neglect its commandments, particularly regarding obligatory acts of worship.
