The Guide and the Bounty

They set out on the trip to Madīnah. They did not follow the regular route, but they went on the coast, the coastline; they followed the coastline until they reached Madīnah. The people of Quraysh set a bounty on the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and Abū Bakr, a hundred camels each, dead or alive, and they were sending out their messengers to convey the news to the Bedouins of the desert, the experts of its routes, telling them that if they brought Muḥammad (peace be upon him), dead or alive, or Abū Bakr, they would be given a hundred camels each.
