A Book Still in Its Pristine Quality

When the Qur'an is read it must be listened to. It is not to be disrespected while it is being read: other activities are stopped, and attention is paid to it, because these are the words of Allah (swt), and the superiority of the words of Allah (swt) over all other words, as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) says, is like the superiority of Allah (swt) over His creation. Allah (swt) is talking to us. It is such a fascinating book, still in its pristine quality — absolutely intact, not even a letter taken out. There is not a single book on earth today, claiming to belong to a religion of old, that is intact. None of them has its books intact: neither the Talmud, nor the Torah, nor the Injīl, the Bible. They are not the originals; they do not have any of it. These are books made by people, recollected by people from their minds and added to, and made into a book, of which it was then said that this is the book of God. It is not so with the Qur'an. The Qur'an was revealed by Allah, and Allah (swt) says that He Himself is the one who shall protect this Book from any corruption. Therefore no corruption will ever come near this Book of Allah (swt). When it is read with the lips, what is being read is the actual words that were revealed to Muhammad (peace be upon him), as Jibrīl (peace be upon him) read them. There is nothing like it on earth. It is a miracle in its own right. And it should be read on a regular basis.
