No One Dies of Hunger

There is not a single human being who dies purely of hunger. Never. This is Allah's (swt) own promise. The objection is sometimes raised: go to Africa, and see what happens there — Muslims among them, dying of malnutrition. The answer lies with the ẓālimīn, the oppressors, the rulers: it is they who receive thousands of tonnes, millions of tonnes, of aid and help, who usurp this, keep it for themselves, and let their own people die of hunger. They are the murderers. Otherwise no human being would ever die of hunger, never; Allah's (swt) promise is there, but the murderers still continue to murder.

There is the hadith of a woman who was, by all appearances, so pious, and yet went to Hellfire because she did not feed her cat — she wanted to punish it — and the cat died as a result. What is to be said, then? In the qadar of Allah (swt), the cat's own rizq may simply have come to an end; but the murderer of that cat is the woman, because of her intention — a bad intention — and she is charged with its murder. In just the same way, the leaders of those Muslim and African countries who receive thousands and millions of dollars in aid, in food and in everything else, and give none of it, no money and no help, to their own people, are the ones who are the real fat cats.
