Working without Anxiety

This, then, is the obligation upon a Muslim: to believe in, and put absolute trust in, Allah's (swt) promise to take care of one's sustenance while one lives on earth. To believe otherwise is a defect in one's own ʿaqīdah. A person must work and seek rizq through lawful means, but Allah (swt) is the one who provides it: many complete two degrees, three degrees, even two doctorates, and cannot find work, while another who never finished primary school, who cannot even sign his own name, has money coming to him without end. Who chooses this? Allah (swt) alone, and no one may question Him for it; He gives to whomever He wishes. Yet on the Day of Judgement He will still call each person to account: ḥalāluhu ḥisābun, ḥarāmuhu ʿadhābun — its lawful portion brings a reckoning, its unlawful portion brings punishment.
