One Man Breaks the Coalition

And therefore one man, one single man, was successful in breaking up this coalition. The coalition that was brought together by the Yahūd headed by Ḥuyayy ibn Akhṭab was now broken through one of the many soldiers of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. And, as mentioned, this help appears as if it came out of nowhere, but it was part of the qadar of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, because the Muslims have passed the test. The Muslims have passed the test of īmān, of perseverance, of endurance, patience, trust in Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. Since they have passed all of these requirements, now Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, is going to find a way out for them.

Just like when Mūsā and Banū Isrāʾīl were faced with the sea in front of them and Firʿawn from behind them: it was a test for them, to see if they believe in the promise of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, that He will save them and protect them, or not. Many of them failed; some of them did pass. And that is when, after the test was over, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, told Mūsā: all you have to do is strike the sea with your stick, and it will split. So the whole thing was a test. Nuʿaym ibn Masʿūd single-handedly brought an end to this coalition.
