A Closing Supplication
May Allah (swt) make His servants of the dhākirīn, and include their names among those who constantly remember Him, whose tongues are constantly moist with the dhikr of Allah (swt) at the time of their departure from this world, when Allah (swt) is absolutely pleased with them and they are among His choicest servants — in those last moments when they give back the trust, amānah, a life, a soul, to the angel of death, Malak al-Mawt, to be taken to Allah (swt) with the kalimah, lā ilāha illallāh Muḥammadur rasūlullāh, in truth and in sincerity. May Allah (swt) resurrect them on the Day of Judgment in the company of those who remember Him, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous, and among the prophets. May Allah (swt) protect them from falling into Jahannam as they walk over the Ṣirāṭ, and include their names among those Muslims who shall enter Paradise with the first entrance, who shall become neighbours to the Beloved, the master of the messengers (peace be upon him), with all the righteous, with all their loved ones, their family members, those who passed before them and their children and their siblings' children, and all the Muslims. And may Allah (swt) also bless them with the honour of seeing His beauty, jamāl, witnessing it from Paradise. And the close of the prayer is: all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

* Kept as said. The author of Rūḥ al-Bayān is Ismāʿīl Ḥaqqī al-Brūsawī (İsmail Hakkı Bursevî, d. 1137 AH), not Ibrāhīm Ḥaqqī.
** Kept as heard. The word heard is “Takfir”, which does not fit the sentence; taqdīr, the decree of Allah, is the likely word, but it cannot be settled.
*** Kept as said. The words recited and explained, alladhīna āmanū wa taṭmaʾinnu qulūbuhum bi-dhikri Allāh, are the twenty-eighth āyah of Sūrat al-Raʿd, not the thirtieth; the verse block carries the real reference.
**** Kept as said. Ibrāhīm's request to be shown how the dead are given life, rabbi arinī kayfa tuḥyī al-mawtā, is the two hundred and sixtieth āyah of Sūrat al-Baqarah, not the two hundred and sixty-first; the verse block carries the real reference.
***** Kept as said. Wa lā yadhkurūna Allāha illā qalīlan is the hundred and forty-second āyah of Sūrat al-Nisāʾ, not the hundred and forty-first; the verse block carries the real reference.
